We provide a comprehensive garden design service, from an initial meeting right through to helping you choose a landscaper to build it, and monitoring landscaping work on site.
Town gardens present specific challenges and employing a garden designer ensures the best possible use of your space. They are often smaller, awkward spaces, and may be overlooked by neighbours or particularly shady.
A new garden is a significant investment, and a designer can save money and time in the long-run. The process of careful planning makes sure all possible options for your garden are considered, the most appropriate materials and plants are used and that quotes from landscapers are comparable and as accurate as possible.
We meet you at home for an initial consultation to discuss what you would like to include in your garden – seating, entertaining, storage, water feature etc – and any practical issues you would like addressed. Following this meeting we will send you a written design brief outlining what we discussed, together with a design fee proposal for your approval.
Once the design brief has been agreed we commission a professional site survey of the garden. We can then create an outline design to help you to visualise the garden with an outline plan, perspective drawings and mood boards. When you are happy with the outline design we produce a set of detailed technical drawings from which the contractors can prepare quotations for the landscaping works.
We then create detailed planting plans based on the style of your new garden, soil type, aspect and any preferences you may have. We source plants from high quality suppliers and ensure that they arrive safely and in excellent condition. We monitor work on site once the project is underway to make sure the landscaper understands the design and ensure the quality of the finished garden.
